Mission Complete…Francesco Diaz & Young Rebels have arrived!Over the past 24 months, Francesco Diaz and Young Rebels have manoeuvred their production pairing from two soundproofed chambers in Hamburg and Cologne to the playlists of the scenes biggest dance titans and onto the airwaves of the widest reaching radio shows around the world. With their collaborative musical forces meeting new peaks; Morphine dominated Beatports #1 chart spot for several weeks; their remix of John Dahlbäck Everywhere rose to prominence as a club anthem through the heavy support bestowed upon it by Radio 1s Pete Tong. It was only a matter of time before the duo would pull themselves out of their individual schedules and complete what would be their first studio album. Well the wait is over…….towards the backend of 2010, their musical fusion will hit another high with the impending release of their debut album. Scheduled for a September 2010 release on Wormland Music, the upcoming project, Mission Complete, is an ingeniously crafted body of music that is rich in heavenly melodies, devilish basslines and with a crux that transcends electro, progressive and tech house. Weighting in with some of those stand out collaborations that have lit up clubs from Sydney to San Francisco Mission Complete features studio friends in Swedish chart busting producer John Dahlbäck, Eddie Thoneick, the hotly emerging talents of Thomas Gold and the gut-wrenchingly soulful vocal chords of Terri B!. Alongside a strong collaboration frontline, the double CD album also contains a rare selection of handpicked remixes. Through a meticulous selection process the duo were able to secure the talents of a small selection of artists whose studio abilities they believe to be truly prodigious by nature. Step forward the globe shattering sounds of Deadmau5, the gritty raw expertises of DBN, Arbre Blass & Adam Reeves, as well as Dada Life – who since the turn of the year have been awash with high praise by everyone from Tiësto and the Swedish House Mafia to Radio 1 and Mixmag.Commenting how the album came about Francesco noted “With several collaborations together already under our belt, Bernd (Young Rebels) and I started to bounce the idea around about working together on a co-album project. It really started off as a bit of joke due to our past as musicians and how we both preferred the environment of working in a team when locked away in the studio.” One agreed a co-album would be the right path for both work then began mid-summer 2009 in a bid to complete the album. “We used the tail end of 2009 and the beginning of 2010 to finish writing, demoing and rewriting the music for the album. We only had one goal in place for the tracks on the album to work as both a continuous document of our music for home listening and also as individual tracks in a club environment, whilst being mindful that it would need to complement the energy and direction of ourselves as artists,” noted Young Rebels.A successful producer for over 15 years, Francesco Diaz has continued to climb to the summit of electronic music with a back catalogue that is both diverse and refined. A purveyor of house music in all its forms, to-date signature tracks like Don’t You Want Me and Say A Little Prayer remain ever popular for both djs and clubbers alike. Equally loved for his redefining productions as he is for his dj performances across the global, Francescos music continues to capture the imagination of the scenes biggest djs such as Tiësto and Above & Beyond to Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso.First single from the album will be No Fate. Set for a global launch in the beginning of September, the late-summer release is a rework of the early Eye Q Record Zyon No Fate with energetic basslines and a grippingly hypnotic piano break, all creating what will be the perfect catalyst to ensure this ingeniously crafted album is front-of-mind for the latter part of 2010.
